Together we are
Tomten Farm and Sanctuary

Providing peace, protection and possibility to animals in need.
Helping animals, helping humans and making a difference, one life at a time.

In the big world of animal rescue and sanctuary, we're pretty small. And we're okay with that because we have big plans for Tomten's future.

Tomten Farm and Sanctuary a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing peace protection and possibility one life at a time.

We are both compassionate and realistic. We know that, sadly, we can't save every animal in need. But we can save some. And for them, that makes all the difference.

We've proceeded at a slow, but steady pace. Doing what we could on our own for several years, financing our rescue and sanctuary work using our personal resources: our original 11-acre property in Massachusetts and limited funds and time.

"Officially" founded January 1st, 2014, Tomten Farm and Sanctuary was a private organization for over two years. In May of 2016, we went public with all the paperwork and registrations that goes with it. We consulted with nonprofit professionals, created bylaws, appointed a Board of Directors, became an approved 501(c)(3) and relocated to Grafton Country, New Hampshire. We're thrilled to be living in a real farming community with friendly neighbors (people and cows), more than seven times our previous acreage, a notebook full of ambitious plans and, of course, all our beloved Tomten animals who still cannot believe their good fortune.

Private or public, we have maintained the same vision over the years: a wish to provide peace, protection and possibility to animals in need. Helping animals, helping humans and making dreams come true one life at a time through rescue, sanctuary, adoption and education.
