Thank you Bernie, Peter and all at the Bridge Weekly Sho-Case, the weekly paper that residents of the Upper Valley look to
for all their local news and events. We enjoyed introducing you and your readers to Tomten Farm and Sanctuary.
A Soft Landing for Rescued Cockfighters & their Hens
Tomten Farm and Sanctuary is proud to be one of the sanctuaries that volunteered to take in some of the MSPCA-held
birds that were rescued by police from an illegal Northampton, MA cockfighting ring in May. Of the more than 432
birds rescued, 193 roosters had to be euthanized. A big thanks to Rob, Ellie and all at the MSPCA who worked diligently to make a difference for so many birds in immediate need.

Think you're ready to adopt a horse? Here's a reality check… read this fun article by Reddington Poet's
new Mom. Tomten rescued this beautiful red horse and Gianna C. adopted him. "Po" is certainly one of
the lucky ones and we are so grateful to have helped him find peace, protection and possibility. May he
look through the window of Gianna's kitchen and appreciate her presence just as often as she does his. I
have no doubt he is the happiest he has been in his life! Thank you, Gianna (and family), for opening up your heart and home to his sweet soul.
A big thank you to Massachusetts Horse for featuring us in the April/May 2015 issue and a big thanks to Karena Garrity on a
great article. Slowly but surely we grow and we are grateful you choose us for the "Lend a Hoof" feature in this issue.
