When you are a non-profit organization, two words can never be said often enough:

To Our Loyal Volunteers
Rain or shine or snow or sleet. Boiling hot or freezing cold. After working all week at your full-time jobs. Even working when you are in pain!!! You have given up countless Saturdays and Special Event Days. You helped us move over 40 animals, and continue to donate your time (even though we are now located up to four hours from your homes!!) to help us do everything from picking manure to grooming all our appreciative animals to fixing fences to begging supermarkets for surplus produce and so much more. THANK YOU!

To our Facebook followers who inspire us to continue our mission every day with all their "likes," "shares," comments, encouragement and suggestions, THANK YOU!

To the Tomten Farm and Sanctuary Donors
As an approved 501(c)(3) organization, every penny you donate is tax deductible. Whether you are a monthly donor, sponsor a particular annual or are a donation in ANY amount to help with our day-to-day expenses, THANK YOU!

PayPal makes it easy!
No check to write, no stamp to buy and no fees for you.

To the Tomten Farm and Sanctuary Dodge Grain Donors —  Supporters who help us pay for hay, grain and shavings, by making a tax-deductible donation directly to our farm account at our supplier, Dodge Grain via check or credit card—THANK YOU!

To Our Quarantine and Foster Families — who donate safe, dedicated quarantine and foster space so that the animals rescued at auction can transition to Tomten Farm and Sanctuary well-fed, happy and infectious-disease-free, THANK YOU!

Does Your Employer Offer YOU Opportunities to do Good?

We are thrilled to announce that Tomten Farm and Sanctuary has been named as a recipient of a Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation Mini Grant. The Foundation provides Harvard Pilgrim employees the opportunity to annually direct a $500 grant to a non-profit organization of their choice. In 2016, the Harvard Pilgrim Foundation awarded more than $2.4 million in grants to  900 + nonprofits throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We are grateful to Harvard Pilgrim employee Ann S. for choosing Tomten as her non-profit of choice this year. We would also like to convey our appreciation to Karen Voci, Executive Director of the Foundation and, of course, to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. This generous grant will help support our mission of providing peace, protection and possibility to animals in need. Helping animals, helping humans and making dreams come true one life at a time through rescue, sanctuary, adoption and education. For more information, please visit

To volunteers Laima W. and Michele D. for researching, measuring, ordering and installing the plastic strip wind barriers on our shelters and to all the Tomten Farm and Sanctuary supporters whose generous donations helped fund this much-needed project.
