At Tomten Farm and Sanctuary, we have always believed that animals deserve more than rescue. They deserve a soft landing, a sanctuary, and a place where their dreams come true. Today, more than 100 Rescues call Tomten home: horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, rabbits, chickens, cats, and geese, each one part
of a lifelong promise we intend to keep.
Every Rescue who arrives here becomes part of that promise. A promise of safety, dignity, and compassionate, above-and-beyond care through every season of life. Now in our second decade, we are doing something that feels both humble and bold: we are not just rescuing and offering sanctuary, we are committing ourselves to ensuring this work endures and that the promise we make to every Rescue, those here today and those still to come, can never be broken.
Sanctuary cannot rely on hope alone. It requires thoughtful planning. It requires commitment. It requires resources. It requires stability. It requires stewardship. It requires sustainability. It requires you.

• Every Rescue who calls Tomten home deserves to stay here forever: we are working to secure ownership of the land and farm we already call home.
• Every life here deserves protection through uncertainty: we are building the Freya Fund, our financial reserves that will keep the sanctuary stable no matter what comes.

strengthening the staffing and infrastructure that makes that possible in every season.
• Every animal who needs us deserves to know that sanctuary exists, and a chance to find their way home: we are committed to continuing to welcome lives in need as space and resources allow.

expanding the programs and partnerships that support guardians and improve animal welfare beyond our gates.
