Join us to welcome new Rescues

Meet our newest rescues.

A few weeks ago we were asked if we could welcome some needy lives from a fairly large animal welfare investigation in Tunbridge, Vermont (right here in the Upper Valley, the same region which we live) and we just couldn’t say no. Twenty animals were seized from a 501C3 Rescue organization including horses, dogs, a mule and a llama and Tomten Farm and Sanctuary will be opening our gates to welcome 5 needy lives into the embrace of peace, protection and possibility. Those lives include this beautiful pony, 3 additional equines and the llama.

Because the law prohibits these Rescues from crossing state lines without proper bloodwork and paperwork, the ones we have stepped up to help will remain in Vermont until their documentation comes in but they will be arriving to New Hampshire and to Tomten Farm and Sanctuary any day.

A big thank you to the Dorset Equine Rescue, Dorset, Vt for temporarily housing and caring for some of the Rescues headed here. We could not have said yes to any of our 5 without DER.

And, we could not welcome any of them without support from folks like you. We humbly ask if you will please stretch with us to be more, do more and give more for animals in need.  In addition to their initial onsite exams at the seizure, they are receiving secondary exams, medications, and things like dentals, trims, and special diet to begin their journey forward. Of course, there will also be the cost of everyday care – potentially for weeks, months and even years.  If you can spare any amount, please help us help them find comfort and consider a life changing contribution.

Thank you in advance for your critical support. Your gift of any size matters!
